 Tips for using Search
  • Search within Specific Documents - You can search within a specific document type to narrow down your results. For example, a search for the Alpha Code "CLQ" returns 58 documents if searching all kind of documents. If however, you were searching for the Parts Manuals, check only the Parts Manual option and you will have only 2 results. Searching in specific document types results in more accurate and relevant results displayed.
  • Search by Alpha Code - It is recommended to use Alpha Code to find the relevant documents. Let's say we are looking for Parts Manual for 95T Elevation Series Treadmill, with the alpha code beginning with TWT. A search for "95T, Parts Manual" (with all documents selected) will result in 1000 results. However, if we search for "TWT", 83 documents are returned (with ALL documents selected). The ideal search for this example would be: "TWT", with only the Parts Manual option selected. This results in exactly ONE document, which is the correct Parts List for 95T Elevation Treadmill.
  • Tags - All the documents are assigned tags to group them together. You can find the tags displayed in the result page and also as a separate section to the right side of the results. These tags help you find similar documents. Continuing with the earlier example, after searching for TWT, you can view documents with the tag "95T" by clicking on the tag name. Registered users can help improve our tagging by using the Suggest Tags features. The button for Suggest Tags is also displayed next to the Search Results.
  • Wildcard Search - The *, or wildcard, is a little-known feature that can be very powerful. If you include * within a query, it tells the system to try to treat the star as a placeholder for any unknown term(s) and then find the best matches. For example, the search "Generator*" will give you results containing all documents where the term Generator is found.
  • Phrase Search - By putting double quotes around a set of words, the system will search the exact words in that exact order without any change. This can be useful, for instance, when you know the Part Name/Number or a Status Message shown on the equipment. For example, you can search for "Mounting Screw" or "0017-00101-1920".
  • Document Naming - The documents are named such that they can convey information about the information present in them. For example, if we look at the document name: "PM TR 95T-xxxxx-xx PCST-xxxxx-xx English.pdf", it implies that it is a Parts Manual (PM) of the equipment Treadmill (TR) for Model 95T, PCST in English Language. Some of the abbreviations are:
    • Assembly Instructions (AI),
    • Operation Manual (OM),
    • Parts Manual (PM),
    • Service Bulletin (SB),
    • Service Manual (SM),
    • Installer Alerts (IA),
    • Software (SW),
    • Software Installation (SI),
    • General Documents (GD).
